Sabina Crocette is the Policy Manager at Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (LPSC), where she heads the organization’s legislative and policy programs. Prior to joining LSPC, Sabina spent 9 years as a parole defense attorney, working with and representing California life inmates and Youthful Offenders seeking parole. Sabina has assisted over 100 men and women to obtain their freedom through the Board of Parole and by filing legal appeals to the courts. Sabina continues to support former clients and their families in the parole adjustment and release process and has first-hand knowledge of the collateral consequences of incarceration, particularly as a daughter of a formerly incarcerated person in California.
Sabina has a diverse work background in federal, state and local government, having worked for the Internal Revenue Service, California Board of Equalization and the City and County of San Francisco’s City Attorney’s Office. Sabina is a college instructor at Contra Costa College. Sabina holds degrees in Law, Taxation and Business Administration. Sabina is currently completing her first book on the process out of prison for California life inmates.
